Buffy!

This is my mini bust of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
It's my first finished piece done in Castilene which is a toy prototyping wax.
She stands about 6" high. Copywright Black Tower Studios 2005.

There's a lot of cool stylised looking stuff coming out now. The He Man figures from the recent line were stylised and really cool.
A lot of the style comes from the sculptors background, i'm classically trained but I still keep some of my manga influences, I know some self taught guys that cover their lack of knowlege with flashy style. then again some can do both.

That is so utterly fantastic I can't even believe it...
How did you learn to sculpt like that?

Well I did go to Art School, but they don't teach anything like this, so I taught myself a lot.
